Dr-Cow is a small, certified organic, environmentally conscious company researching and creating innovative artisan foods.
Dr-cow was founded in Williamsburg, Brooklyn New York. In 2003 we were introduced to the idea of the food movement called 'living-raw food'. We were impressed and amazed with this new knowledge - everything was so clear and logical for us, it just made sense!
Incidentally, we were already eating in a very similar way without even knowing anything about the fundamentals and philosophy of raw food techniques. Soon we started to buy books and do research; we incorporated the philosophy and started to apply the techniques on ourselves. After that, we began to modify the recipes of the products that we were offering through Dr-Cow.
We had no doubts about the value of all these living-raw food principles, and the change for us happened so fast... almost overnight.
In our own facility, which has a water purifier system and tachyonized electrical panels, we make artisan tree nut cheese, granolas, activated nuts, cookies, biscottis and specialty products. All of our products are gluten free, soy free, dairy free and animal free and also vegan. We use 100% certified organic and unprocessed ingredients.
Dr-cow wants to serve people with simple food products, easy to assimilate and digest. In all of our products, enzymes, vitamins and nutrients are quickly available for the body providing higher levels of energy.
Our cheese is made from 100% raw certified organic nuts. First we carefully select the nuts and seeds, then we mix the raw nuts with our own home-made acidophilus and a little royal pink himalayan salt (one of the best salts available in the market!). Thus we have made nut curd by applying the same procedures for making traditional dairy-based cheese! Our cheeses are made with absolutely no preservatives, stabilizers, artificial ingredients or additives of any kind. 100% dairy free, no gluten, no casein, no soy and lactose free, 100% organic and vegan! We are Certified Organic by CCOF.
Our creamy Indonesian Cashews are carefully processed to maintain their natural RAW state during the shelling process. They are naturally sweet and delicious. You taste the difference in freshness and quality. Cashews are high in B vitamins, Folate, Magnesium, Manganese, Iron, Phosphorus, Selenium, Copper and Potassium. They have less fat than other nuts and 75% of the un-saturated fatty acid content is oleic acid, the same heart-healthy fat found in Olive Oil.
